AI Engineer

Hexaconcepts is seeking a talented AI Engineer to join the MACH (Measurement, Analytics and Control) Division in Chennai, India. This role involves designing deep learning, machine learning, and image processing algorithms for wafer inspection and metrology applications within the semiconductor manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating innovative solutions, analyzing complex systems, and implementing practical machine learning workflows for production environments. Excellent communication skills are essential, and up to 20% domestic or international travel may be required for customer support or training.

Responsibilities include evaluating and improving deep learning/machine learning training sets and workflow processes, assessing and enhancing learning model performance, and comparing various learning models. The engineer will also implement algorithms to improve signal-to-noise ratios in images, work with global teams throughout product lifecycles, define and meet performance specifications with product engineering, and provide technical support during product demos and beta testing.

Requirements: A strong background in image processing, computer vision, or pattern recognition, coupled with excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Proficiency in C/C++, Linux shell scripting, object-oriented programming, and Python is mandatory. Experience with source code control software and a passion for continuous learning are important. For recent graduates, internships or projects with a product company are essential. Good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work are also required. Educational qualifications range from new college graduates up to 2 years of experience, with a preference for Ph.D., Dual Degree, Masters, or Bachelors from tier 1 colleges in EE, CS, or Mathematics backgrounds.
